A word about Nevada Domestic Asset Protection Trusts (NDAPT). One does not have to be a resident of Nevada nor own property there to make a NDAPT. This is the most favorable jurisdiction in the USA in which to establish such an entity. If you are in a high risk profession, vulnerable to lawsuits you should consider forming and placing your assets into a NDAPT. There is a two year lookback period for assets transferred to the NDAPT. For all intents and purposes, it is "bulletproof" asset protection. Property funded, it also serves as a deterrent to creditors wishing to sue you. We are experts in preparing and implementing these vehicles for appropriate clients. If you are considering a domestic asset protection plan please give us a call and we can guide you through this process.
